July is coming to an end. So quickly it came and went. As August approaches, there will be many changes in the Youth Ministry. Our Wednesday night activities will be the first to shake up. Both Jr. High and Sr. High studies will conclude after August 4th & 5th. We will have a Back to School Game Night on August 11th for both Sr. & Jr. High. The next week, Aug. 18th, will be our Kick-Off for our church-wide Wednesday Night meal & groups.
Sunday, August 8th, we will promote our students up to their new Sunday school class. We still need Sunday School teachers who can commit to teaching from August - December. Contact me if you are available to commit.
Also, Prayer Breakfast will be starting back August 17th. We meet at Chick-Fil-A at 7:00am each Tuesday morning during the school year to share a meal, have a devotion, and pray for one another. We provide transportation to the Jr. High, Sumner Hill, the High School, and CCA.
ELEVATION: This is a weekend retreat here at our church for our students, & our community! The structure of this retreat is similar to the Baptist church’s Disciple Now. We need your (the parents) help to make this retreat happen! You can register to volunteer by filling out this easy online registration form Also, you can register your student(s) online as well! Upcoming Events:
BIGGER / BETTER Sunday, August 15th. Instead of heading out on a video scavenger hunt, we will be playing Bigger / Better. We will need drivers for this event. See Stevie for more information.
ELEVATION August 27-29. This is a weekend retreat here at our church for our students, & our community. Register your student(s) by August 1st for the Early Bird Discount.
METHO-DANCE September 10th will be our first dance of the season. We will need plenty of help chaperoning, serving drinks, taking up money, watching the parking lot, etc. These dances are always a lot of fun and provide a safe, fun place for 7th-9th graders to be on a Friday night.

August 4th - 7:00pm - Jr High Night (6th-8th grades) in the church Gym

August 5th - 7:00pm - Sr High Bible Study (9th-12th grades) at the home of Mike & Susan Grove

Ways to be Involved
Please pray for the upcoming school year for our students. Many will be heading to a new school, new environment, and that can be scary/exciting. Pray for their teachers also.
