Summer Worship Times

There is nothing like summer in the South! Ball games, cookouts, swimming, watermelon, tomatoes, and mosquitoes-there is nothing like it! When the kids get out of school, it is like someone throws a switch and life changes gears. We make time for trips, gather with neighbors on the back porch, and get reacquainted with life as it is meant to be lived.

I love the summer-admittedly I don’t like the heat, but I love that when we give it a little effort,  the summer is a time when friendships grow.

First Methodist will take advantage of summer this year. On June 4, we will begin a summer schedule. Sunday school will begin at 9:00, and our traditional Sanctuary Service and our contemporary Connection Service will begin at 10:00.

This will give those who worship in our Sanctuary services the opportunity to worship together. It will give those in our Connection service and our Sanctuary services an opportunity to be on campus at the same time, see each other, and renew friendships. Additionally, this new time will make it easier for newcomers to Clinton who visit our church for the first time to catch a glimpse of the vibrancy of First Methodist Church. This summer will be a great time to invite newcomers and other friends to worship with us at FUMC!

The Administrative Council has set the summer schedule from June 4 – August 27.

Summer is almost here! Make plans to take advantage of a season unique to the South. Adjust your schedule to accommodate the summer schedule at First Methodist.

You Matter to God,

Tommy Artmann
