The BigStuf youth retreat, scheduled for  June 10-14, is a fantastic beachretreat on the shores of Panama City Beach, Florida.  It’s a week-long camp for youth and their leaders, and it’s a great mix of worship, teaching and fun.  There are times of corporate worship, workshops, quiet time, group time, and recreation.  Meals and lodging are provided by the organization, and included in the cost.

BigStuf was organized in 1988, and is a nondenominational, non-profit ministry based in Alpharetta, Georgia.  Their desire is to create environments that enhance the opportunities to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  All of the elements and logistics of their events are geared to that end.  The people who lead their camps are balanced gifted people who have a history of character and integrity.

Total cost is approximately $200, and a deposit of  $75 is needed to lock in your spot by April 21.  The balance is due May 5. Sign up online and bring your deposit.  SPOTS ARE LIMITED, So please turn in your deposit! Make sure you fill out the BigStuf Consent Form 2013

Special Lenten Offering

For the season of Lent we are asking individuals or families in the church to take a Stop Hunger Now bank and throughout the season of Lent make a plan to fill them. Whether it is to deposit the equivalent of what you spent on a meal each day or a quarter for each meal eaten as a family, the point is that for every quarter given a meal will be packaged and shipped to a hungry child.

You are asked to return the bank and the money collected on Eater Sunday March 31st.

The “R’s” to the Resurrection

Beginning Ash Wednesday, February 13, 2013 we will share during the season of Lent “The ‘R’s’ to Resurrection.” The Lenten season is forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. The season is a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter and the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. During this time we will journey together the path of Jesus on his walk to Jerusalem. It is our prayer that we will find similarities in our own stories and that each week we will place the broken pieces of our lives in union with the path of Christ.
